The big celebrations of Margarita takes place between the 8th and 15th of the month of September because of the giving grace for the Virgin of Del Valle, “La Patrona” of the island.
To this annual celebration that takes place on the “El Valle del Espiritu Santo” town people from all over the country goes to pay for promises that were made to the saint. This is a popular, happy and loud party, where the dancing, the music, and the food take place. AT the same time there is a high consume of beer and ethylic alcohol during this celebrations.
